Vikasana aims to reach out to the student community across schools/colleges in an humble effort to strengthen our cultural and moral values, by reintroducing to them some of the astounding works in Kannada poetry through the medium of music - Kavya Sangeetha! Kavya Sangeetha- VIKASANA-4 We at, J.V.Vidyapeetha, Experienced mesmerising and soul touching music program on 27th July, 2013 - the much awaited Kavya Sangeetha, VIKASANA-4.We were very fortunate and blessed to have Sri Shankar Shanbhogue, Sri.H.S.Venkatesh Murthy, and Sri. Lakshmanarao Birur with us. Morning from 10.30 - 12.45... the school premises echoed with melody, divinity, ecstasy, and patriotic fervour!!! Amazing to see children drowned in that music world.... Our teachers were little apprehensive to include 3rd nd 4th students.. Will they be able to sit for 2 hrs and enjoy the music???? But somewhere my heart didn't agree to devoid the children of such a great opportunity. Heart won over the brain!!!! We were stunned to see the deep involvement of children... Everybody was appreciating them. How we underestimated our children!!!!!... This is the power of music!!! ...This is the power of Shankar Shanbhogue's singing!!!... Not to forget the accompanying musicians...He interacted with children sooooo beautifully. ' Aacharavillada naalige' of Sri Purandara Dasa and 'Elegalu Nuraru' of HSV were the most enjoyable . The program went on even after school hours, which was a blessing in disguise for parents who came to pick their children. The last piece "Vande Matharam" was jewel in the crown. A little girl came to me and said, ' Mam, my dad is in tears'....The patriotic fervour filled the atmosphere completely .
