Independence Day
J.V.V.P celebrated the 69th Independence Day with patriotic fervor Director of Department of collegiate Education and Former President of Kannada Sahithya Parishath was the Chief Guest of this August occasion. Mr. Siddarth Goenka the Trustee was the special Invitee. the chief guest was invited with a Guard of Honour, followed by March past. Sahil Ladha, the school captain lead the team with the prestigious School Flag in his hand, Scouts and other students from VI-X followed the school captain in the March past. Respected Principal, Mrs. Lakshmi Murthy gave an introduction about chief guest. The chief guest was honoured with a shawl. The Cultural Programmes had a Variety of Entertainment. Students gave songs of National Integration both in Kannada and Sanskrit. Janhavi of V std gave a speech in Hindi. Bhumika, Chaitaya and Srivatsa of III std gave a speech about Astanga Yoga in Sanskrit and English. This was followed by Yoga display by students. As per the tradition of J.V.V.P the chief guest rewarded the students for their performance in the previous year 2014-15 for 100% Attendance & Academic Excellence Bharath Raj K.C gave a speech in Kannada about the Indian culture. Group dance was performed by the students for the songeJab Dhal Dhal pari. The chief guest appreciated the students for their performance. He admired the culture prevailing in school which is rare nowadays. His speech was enjoyed by everyone in the field. Ankita S Vakil proposed the vote of thanks. The Trustee and Principal of JVVP presented a memento of Sandal wood Idol of Goddess Saraswathi as an hounour to the chief guest. Bharath Raj K.C and Pratheesha A.S Karanth anchored the programme for the day. The programme concluded with the distribution of sweets.
